The ever faithful granny square is perhaps the most iconic motif in crochet and the foundation to being able to create so many different crochet items – from blankets, bags and cushions to name but a few.  Once you know how to make one you open the “Pandora’s Box” of possible projects and will understand why those who can make them find then so addictive.

In this half-day workshop, you will learn how to make a traditional multicolour granny square design using a selection of three colours of Rowan wool.  Once you have mastered this technique you will move on to try your hand at a selection of other designs and finally learn how to join your squares together so that you can go on to create an item of your choice.

Note: Each attendee will be given a granny square workshop pack which will include three balls of Rowan wool in a complimentary colour and a detailed set of instructions.

Skill Level: Intermediate. This workshop requires knowledge of basic stitches including chain, slip, double and treble crochet (not sure if your skills are up to the job? Why not check out our Loopy About Crochet workshop which is our beginners crochet workshop?)

Course Availability: Daytimes & Evenings

Fee and what this includes: 47.00 and this includes everything you will need to take this workshop including wool, a full set of instructions, reserved space on our upcoming Crochet Surgery as well as coffee/tea and a home made snack.
