Who hasn’t been attracted to the feel and smell of a beautiful leather bag or wallet? We pick them up, find our fingers going back and forth over the naturally uneven surface, rolling them over to see what the construction of the bag looks like. You find yourself looking at the stitching and asking “could it be that hard to make?”.  This is a perfect workshop for a beginner who would like to try their hand at leatherwork and to gain the foundation skills needed to work with leather.

In this workshop,  Sarah Plant will be your teacher, and you will:

  • experience cutting from a template
  • punch holes with a prickling iron
  • add a snap
  • set up your sewing machine to sew with leather

Take home your wallet as it will be finished at the end of the workshop or you can use it right away!

Skill Level: beginner

Course Availability: Daytimes & Evenings

Fee and what this includes: 43.00.  All material and tools are included with a choice of many different types of leather and thread colours as well as coffee/tea and a home made snack.
